Since this is my first blog, I'll introduce myself a bit. A am an author from Maine, who writes westerns for print (under my Lance Howard penname) and horror ebooks under my own name. Many of my westerns have a slightly spooky edge to them and as a horror writer you can probably guess I love this time of year. Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays. Of course, the free candy helped, but there's just something about living on the rocky Maine coast that tickles that spooky nerve. The blog title refers to the company imprint for my westerns, Black Horse Westerns. Black Horse has been around since the mid eighties, the company since the '20s. I run a group dedicated to the imprint and we publish a quarterly magazine online, free for viewing (www.blackhorsewesterns.com and click on Black Horse Express).I hope y'all will take a look around and also at my homepage.
Well, for us Yankee fans, this season was pretty much a nightmare. I would like to congratulate the winners, the Boston Red Sox, who really did deserve their fisrt win since 1918. You've got to admire a team who can come back from being down 3 and 0 to win the whole pot.
